What’s the best way to influence a team to take ownership of an agenda at the start of each meeting?

Answer:

Effective teams only meet with a purpose. The team will assume ownership if each member takes a turn creating a purposeful meeting agenda.

Please suggest ways to change the conversation without causing tension if politics creep into the discussion.

Answer:

When the tone of conversation is calm, respectfully ask to change the subject. if the rhetoric is inflammatory, then quietly but with a firm tone say: Let’s talk about something else.

How do I decide what to wear to a casual business event if I am scheduled to make a presentation?

Answer:

Set the stage by choosing clothing that will add presence and connect you to the audience. For example, add a casual jacket for a business-casual crowd. Also, make sure you look and feel like you are part of the subject.
