We want to jump start the New Year with getting our team thinking about the projects that will be successful for them and the organization.
Answer:
An effective process is to have each of the team members write on yellow post-its three projects they feel will be opportunities for the group to succeed. Then post the stickers up on the white board and cluster the ones that have the most similarities. The team then decides on the top ones and the order they should worked on.

My work is mostly on the phone. How can I begin to read the other person on the phone?
Answer:
If a person responds slowly with carefully chosen words, he or she may not be enthusiastic about your idea. You may need to follow-up to be sure they have bought in. Keep a record of your conversation to keep building a stronger phone relationship with that person.

How can I show confidence when walking into a networking event when I don’t know anyone?
Answer:
First, before you walk into the room, get a head start by doing some research on who will be attending the event. Secondly, walk in with a smile and have a personal introduction and a few topics to help you begin the conversation.

Answer:
Etiquette guidelines indicate a thank you note is not necessary for a thank you gift. However, a phone call is a nice gesture to show how much you appreciate the gift and a good way to confirm that the gift has been received.
