The Situation:
Handling questions under fire -Andy was asked to provide a deposition for a company issue. This is the second time it has happened. The first deposition did not go well for him and the client.
The Solution and Action Plan:
The great thing about Andy was his willingness to practice using a mock opponent. We had three six-hour practices with Andy taking a relentless grilling. We played back each session, identifying what he did well and the areas for improvement.
The Outcome:
Andy was congratulated by the attorneys that represented the company. He radiated confidence and was able to look directly at the questioner and answer straight into the camera. When he did not know an answer, he asked for clarification. Andy also stopped looking up and down. He kept his focus only on the camera or the parties questioning him.
