November Tips For Communication & Image Success
Tip for Organizations:
Question:
How can we help members of our team be more vocal during meetings?
Answer:
Practice is number one. I would recommend pairing up these individuals with partners who are more extroverted and then having these folks schedule a series of practice sessions. They can toss a small rubber ball to each other while getting the introverted person to comment or answer questions.
Communication Question:
A number of folks in our organization are being let go. What do I say to them as one of those staying and how do I sound sincere?
Answer:
Depending on how close you are, say you are sorry and if they need anything, offer to help. If you are not very close, wish them the best of luck. Do not offer any words of comfort like I don’t understand why you are getting let go or that you do such good work. It will only make them feel worse.
Presence Question:
Question:
When making a presentation, are white shirts for men or white blouses for women with a dark suit the best clothing choices when being videotaped?
Answer:
It really depends on the backdrop stage and your coloring. In some cases, for men, a light blue shirt might work better. Remember, absolutely no prints unless they are very small, subtle designs.
