How can I begin to craft a story about who I am and why I should be promoted to the next management level?
Answer:
A simple effective method to help you begin is to write in bullet points how you started your career, a few successes, what you love about your work, what you continue to learn and why you are the best candidate for the next position.
This is the beginning frame work of your story. After you fill in the details and feel comfortable with it, find someone to make a video of you saying it. Continue to edit the words, pace and energy of the story of who you are until saying it is, well… part of you!
