Tip for Organizations:
Question:
Our group is getting ready to go a conference. We have a booth and will be attending some business social events. What should we wear as a group when manning the booth and when we socialize separately, without looking too much like each other?
Answer:
If you decide not to wear a uniform in the booth, definitely wear a name badge that includes the company logo. Maybe you can wear a jacket or shirt in like colors. For business social events, wear smart business casual (not beach or picnic wear).
Communication Question:
Question:
What do you recommend for talking points when working a company booth at a convention?
Answer:
Start with an introduction that includes your name, a few bullet points about the company and what your firm offers. Then ask what brought them to your booth.
Wardrobe Question:
Question:
We all have to wear a jacket when working at the company booth. It gets very hot – how can we stay cool?
Answer:
For women, wear a sleeveless shell or shirt with a collar. For men, wear a cotton polo shirt if a tie is not required. If it is, choose a 100% pinpoint cotton shirt (an oxford will be too warm).
